Known to local fishermen since antiquity, the Blue Cave’s true wonder was unveiled in 1884 with the creation of an artificial entrance.
Since then, it has transformed into a globally famous Dalmatian boat tour destination. The cave’s ethereal blue glow is a marvel of nature. During calm seas around noon, sunlight filters through an underwater entrance, striking the white seabed and filling the cave with an aquamarine radiance. Objects submerged appear silver, adding to the cave’s otherworldly allure.
